What is a Serviced Apartment: All apartments have a fully fitted kitchen, washer drier, iron and ironing board, double or twin beds and a sofabed just in case you need it. Maid Service Monday to Friday;  cleaning for you. making your beds, washing up or setting your dishwasher. Cleaning your bathroom. Changing your bed. Disposing of your refuse. Creating a perfect world for you to relax on your holiday or focus on your business. Do you accept all major credit cards? Yes, we accept all major credit cards with the exception of Diners Club. Do you accept/exchange foreign currency? No, we do not accept or exchange foreign currency. Where is the nearest bank, ATM and bureau de change? There is HSBC, Lloyds & Barclays bank in the King’s Road. A bureau de change is available on the ground floor of Marks and Spencer in the Kings’s Road, both within a 5 minute walk and an ATM machine opposite our building. How far is Harrods? Harrods is a 10 minute walk from Nell Gwynn House, alternatively 1 stop to Knightsbridge on the Piccadilly Line. Where is the nearest supermarket? Sainsbury’s is directly opposite Nell Gwynn House – open everyday from 7.00 to 23.00 Where is the nearest mobile telephone shop? There are 4 mobile telephone shops in the Kings Road. Where can I get an international Sim card? These are available from the kiosks at the underground stations. Is it safe to drink the tap water? Yes, it is safe to drink the tap water, although bottled water is preferable. Can we pre order tickets for events and have these sent prior to our stay? You can have tickets sent c/o Letting Office but no earlier than one week prior to your arrival.  They must have your name and await arrival date of …..   Please note that we can not be held responsible for lost tickets. What number should I leave with family if they need to contact us in an emergency? The Concierge are here 24 hours, 7 days a week and they are able to take and hold any messages for guests.  Their number is 00 44 207 666 4597 Do you accept pets? Unfortunately, the building has a no pet’s policy Is there any air conditioning? As Nell Gwynn House is a listed building we do not have air conditioning, however, we provide electrical circulating fans in each apartment. Do you have a gym? There is no gym in the building but LA Fitness is an 8 minute walk away. Where is the nearest hairdressers and beauty salon? There are 2 hairdressers & a beauty salon within a 5 minute walk from Nell Gwynn House. Where is the nearest Starbucks? Starbucks is directly opposite Nell Gwynn House – open everyday from 7.00 to 19.30 What is the check in and check out times? Check in is from 15.00 and check out is by 11.00 Do you have luggage facilities? Yes, the Concierge are able to look after your luggage. Where is the nearest chemist? Chelsea Pharmacy is directly opposite Nell Gwynn House – open 7 days a week from 8.00 to 23.00 Do you offer dry cleaning and laundry service? Johnson’s is directly opposite Nell Gwynn House – open 7 days a week from 8.00 to 19.00. Can we arrange for Newspaper deliveries? Unfortunately, you have to buy and collect – the nearest shop for newspapers would be Sainsbury’s. Do all rooms have safes? Yes, all of our apartments have safe deposit boxes. These are electronic push button types. What is the security at Nell Gwynn House? The Concierge are here 24 hours, 7 days a week and we also have 24 hour CCTV through out the whole of the building. What is the latest passport/visa information for foreign travellers As this is always changing, we suggest that you contact the UK Border Agency before making any travel arrangements – www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk  Where is the nearest park? There is Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and Green Park.  See www.royalparks.org.uk for full details and what’s on. Is the building still under construction? No, the renovation works to the building are completely finished. Do you have baby cots? Should you require baby cots, high chairs etc, we can give you the contact details for the company that will hire and deliver these to the apartment for your stay.  Charges are payable directly to Chelsea Baby Hire. Do you have to arrive and depart on a particular day? No, you can arrive any day of the week.  The minimum stay is 7 nights and you can stay any number of nights. Do you have apartment sizes? As all our apartments are individual we do not have exact sizes of each one, however, typically, studios range from 250 to 400 sq ft, one bedroom apartments from 350 to 650 sq ft and two bedroom apartments approximately 700 sq ft Can we view the apartments? During busy periods it is not always possible to show apartments, however, we have photos available on our website.  During quieter periods, you are more than welcome to view so please contact the Reservations Office to check beforehand. Do you charge VAT? Our accommodation has Zero VAT although we charge VAT at the current rate on the maid service.  Our rates listed on the website, include maid service and VAT.
